D Day Presentation, June 2024

In rememberance and celebration of the D Day landings the History Club hosted a presentation in the Community Centre on 7 May by Chairman, Mike Garrett.  The illustrated talk covered the background and planning of Operation Overlord and key figures involved.  The event was well attended and donations were invited on the evening in lieu of an entry fee.  The generous amount collected amounted to £225 and was donated to ssafa (the Soldiers', Sailors', and Airmen's Families Association).  Our thanks to all those who attended.
