Blue Bell Virtual Pub, 23 May 2020

The Blue Bell has been closed since the enforced nationwide lockdown in March.  What happens when you can’t go out for a pint?  You make a virtual pub!

Adam and Hayden Kay did just that.  A list of different packages of special beers and ciders was published, and orders flooded in from villagers.  A few days later exciting brown carrier bags started to arrive at people’s houses containing The Blue Bell Inn a Bag’. At the second event, the packages were expanded to contain selections of Gin and Rum from the Yorkshire Dales Distillery.

The bag also contained premium snacks, old fashioned sweet shop favourites and an invitation to join the virtual Zoom quiz night.  The second Zoom quiz was a 80s themed evening involving about 70 people.

We hope that our very own Blue Bell, and other pubs throughout the UK, will be able to open again soon.  Here’s to that day.

Thank goodness for Zoom

January 2021

Pubs and bars have had to close again, but we are Zooming away!  To celebrate Burns Night, the Blue Bell has organised a remote quiz and delivered some of our favourites to raise a toast.

Restaurants are closed during the current lockdown but Adam and his team are offering a take away menu - delicious!
