V.E. DAY
We had planned to hold a V.E. Day celebration in the pub on 8 May, with honky tonk piano, singing and general celebration! This was not to be. However the village was determined to celebrate anyway. Flags and bunting were hung everywhere and, adhering to the stipulated guidelines of social distancing, many people put out chairs and tables and sat in their driveway to wave at passers by. The weather couldn't have been better, and walking around the village (again observing the rules) it was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves.
