Discovering, Preserving and Presenting the History of Gringley-on-the-Hill, Nottinghamshire.

On 19 May 2021 a Covid-19 vaccination centre was set up by the Community Centre Committee in the Community Centre offering the Pfizer vaccine, and to the end of July approximately 5000 people have been vaccinated at Gringley.

The Centre has been manned by St John's Ambulance personnel, a visiting pharmacist, doctors, nurses and other health professionals, some from Gringley.  In all there have been 25 vaccinators, and approximaely 59 volunteers from the local area carrying out administrative functions, car parking duties and offering support and care for attendees both pre and post vaccination.   The clinic continues to offer vaccinations twice weekly.

Six months ago Gringley on the Hill Community Centre opened its doors to deliver Covid vaccinations.  During that time over 20,000 patients have received their vaccine at Gringley.  This is a remarkable achievement and even more so as the clinic is run by volunteers.  To all those who direct parking, register patients, deliver the injections, sanitise the spaces and generally look after people who have received their vaccine, very well done!
